The IROconnect project aims to enhance the operational capabilities of international offices in the universities of the Neighborhood East region by promoting improvements in operational standards that have an impact on the international dimension of the involved institutions. This will be achieved by strengthening the offices for international relations and developing internationalization strategies, with a specific focus on collaboration between universities and student’s associations.
Project is promoting international cooperation and networking by enhancing the capabilities of IROs and fostering collaboration between universities and student associations. It also addresses specific challenges such as resource availability, attractiveness to international students, quality of education, and financial constraints. By concentrating on the operational capabilities of International Relations Offices (IROs) in universities across Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine, the project directly responds to the aim of enhancing management and administrative capacities. It recognizes the pivotal role of IROs in streamlining international cooperation and elevates their function through strategic capacity building.
The project's dedication to ensuring high-quality and relevant education is evident in its strategic approach to address multifaceted challenges that universities face in internationalization. By tackling issues related to institutional size, location, training quality, financial constraints, and staff mobility, the project not only enhances the international stature of these universities but also ensures that the education offered is of high relevance and quality. The initiatives to promote international cooperation, develop strategic partnerships, and incorporate digital transformation through the digitalization of IROs further underscore the project's commitment to delivering education that is not only top-tier in quality but also pertinent and adaptive to the evolving global educational landscape.
